The featured show this month is “The Note “ based on a novel by Angela Hunt. Hunt is the wife of a Baptist preacher & has a Masters of Biblical Studies degree in Theology & also a doctorate in the same subject. She has published over one hundred books, all of which have a Christian theme. Hunt considers some of her books to be parables. Her books have touched on such diverse topics as cloning, immortality, prion diseases, breast cancer, mental illness, angels, family issues, spouse abuse, stuttering, adoption, divorce, dating, and man's relationship to animals. Over three million copies of her books are in print
The Plot:
Newspaper columnist Peyton MacGruder (Genie Francis) finds a note addressed simply to 'T', washed up on shore. It appears to be from the victim of a recent plane crash, and carries a message of hope and forgiveness from a father to his child. MacGruder's readership is down on her column (called "Heart Healer"), and the paper is going to dump it unless she starts to write from the heart. Inspired, MacGruder decides to find the intended recipient of the note, all the while logging her journey through her article. As the mystery unfolds, the note affects each person she contacts significantly.
